Melbourne’s celebrated bluestone laneways, home to hidden bars, galleries, restaurants, workshops and studios, are the inspiration behind the W Melbourne theme, reveal to revel. It plays out in delightful and unexpected ways; the more a guest explores of the hotel, the more it reveals of itself. The lobby features a soaring lenticular, back lit wall work by Rus Kitchin, providing the hotel with an unmistakable sense of place. Ash Keating’s printed glass painting envelops guests in the lift lobby and his enormous, desert like landscape spans the ceiling of The Great Room.
